Flask Law, PLLC

Flask Law is a private-side advisory practice founded to serve businesses and professionals operating in regulated, national-security-adjacent, and technology-intensive environments. The firm focuses on government contracts and procurement, cybersecurity compliance, data privacy, AI governance, and defense-sector risk — areas where the cost of imprecision is high and generic legal advice tends to fall short.

The firm counsels clients on contracts, compliance, governance, and risk without representing clients before federal agencies or in matters directly involving the United States Government.

If your business operates where the rules are complicated and the stakes for getting it wrong are real, that’s where this firm works best.

Flask Law, PLLC is a Florida limited liability company. Christian Flask is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.

Christian Flask, Attorney

Christian Flask, Esq.

Christian Flask's path to law ran through nearly two decades of engineering and federal service — and that sequence matters. He spent years building systems, writing code, and operating at the intersection of technology and national security before he ever read a contract as a lawyer. When he did, he saw things most attorneys miss: the compliance architecture underneath the recitals, the technical risk that doesn't surface until eighteen months into performance, the gap between what a clause says and what it actually requires of an engineer.

That background now drives a practice focused on government contracts and procurement, cybersecurity compliance (including CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171), data privacy, AI governance, and defense-sector business risk. These are areas where legal precision and technical literacy are both necessary — not interchangeable.

His federal career included senior legal advisory roles in some of the most demanding national security environments in the U.S. government, culminating in service as a senior Legal Advisor at NATO’s Allied Command Counterintelligence, where he advised across more than 30 allied nations and contributed directly to NATO’s data protection policy framework. That work — at the intersection of international law, intelligence oversight, and emerging technology — informs everything he does on the private side.

The combination is uncommon. Engineer. Operator. Attorney. The value is in having all three in the same room.

Where the Firm Focuses

Flask Law advises businesses and professionals operating in regulated, technology-driven, and defense-adjacent environments. The firm’s focus areas reflect a deliberate combination of legal expertise and operational experience — not a general practice spread thin.

01

Contract Advisory

Contracts define the relationship. They also define the exposure. Flask Law advises businesses and professionals on the full lifecycle of commercial contracts — from initial structure and negotiation through execution and risk review. The firm focuses on agreements where the underlying regulatory environment matters: teaming agreements between private parties, subcontractor and vendor agreements, NDAs, professional services agreements, and other commercial arrangements common in technology and defense-adjacent industries. The goal is not just a clean document — it is a contract that reflects what you actually agreed to, allocates risk deliberately, and holds up when it needs to.

02

Compliance & Risk Management

Compliance is not a checklist. It is a framework your business either has or doesn’t — and the difference shows up in your contracts, your operations, and your exposure. Flask Law provides legal advisory services on internal governance, policy development, contract risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance for businesses operating in complex and regulated environments. For companies that handle sensitive data, operate in regulated industries, or contract with parties that impose compliance obligations downstream, getting the legal foundation right is not optional. Flask Law helps clients understand what those obligations are, how they interact with existing contracts and operations, and how to structure internal frameworks that hold up under scrutiny.

03

Business Formation & Governance

The decisions made at formation — entity type, ownership structure, operating agreements, governance framework — shape everything that comes after. Fixing them later is expensive. Getting them right at the start is not. Flask Law advises founders and early-stage companies on entity formation, operating agreements, and corporate governance, with particular experience counseling businesses in technology, defense contracting, and other regulated sectors. For startups entering complex markets, having legally sound foundational documents is part of being taken seriously by partners, customers, and investors.

04

General Business & Commercial Matters

Flask Law handles select general business and commercial legal matters outside its primary practice areas on a case-by-case basis, including private real estate transactions and general commercial agreements. Inquire directly to discuss whether your matter is one the firm can assist with.

When AI Writes Your Legal Arguments, GAO Notices

In a published GAO decision issued February 18, 2026, the protester’s counsel filed comments citing three decisions in support of their argument. The docket numbers, dates, and holdings were wrong. When GAO flagged that it could not locate the cited cases, corrected citations were provided — but those cases did not support the argument either. GAO warned that attorneys who cite non-existent authority before its Office risk referral to bar associations or other disciplinary bodies. The protest was denied. The contract — worth over $230 million — stayed with the awardee.

8(a) Program Suspensions: What Affected Firms Need to Know

In January 2026, the Small Business Administration suspended more than 1,000 firms from the 8(a) Business Development Program — roughly one in four active participants — for alleged non-compliance with a December 2025 data call. Since then, SBA has moved to terminate an additional 154 firms, and independent audits by the Department of Defense, Treasury, and GSA are underway. If your firm received a Notice of Suspension, the situation is serious. But it is not necessarily permanent.
